This product is Ally Friendly.

Ally friendly merch is for everyone.

When we see non-Indigenous people wearing our designs, we feel proud that they are repping our merch and culture.

When we see Aboriginal designs in the world, it means Indigenous people are not invisible in the landscape.

But, purchasing from Aboriginal brands, businesses and wearing Indigenous designs alone is surface-level allyship. There needs to be more commitment than just buying from Aboriginal brands and businesses.

Wearing Aboriginal design is not dismantling a system that oppresses Indigenous people. Allies need to do more and learn more. Wearing our tees is a great starting point. We have equipped you with our merch and some of the educational content to go with them. We want you to go out in the world, have these important conversations and find ways to do more and support more.

Learn more.

Our goal is for you to love what you have purchased and we are stoked to offer free returns!

Proud to share my values in a public space with this beauty

Thank you so much, for everything you do at Clothing the Gaps.
This downloadable poster made it easy for those, such as myself, who live in regional Victoria. It says everything that I wanted to communicate about January 26, in such a stylish way.

Awesome!

Great free download. Powerful, eye-catching design and handy qr code to help with the education side of things.

Proudly sharing an IMPORTANT message.

I downloaded a free A3 poster about why January 26th is not a date to celebrate, and it’s been great to have. I knew my parents wouldn’t let me put it up at their place, so I asked my boss if I could use it at her house. She was really happy to let me download and laminate it, and now it’s attached to the front tree of her home. The house is on a busy cycle path, so lots of people can see it as they go past.

It’s not just me and my boss who believe in this, it’s the whole team of support workers I work with. We all agree it’s not a date to celebrate, and we’re proud to stand by this message.

The poster looks great, it’s clear and easy to read, and it’s such a good resource for sharing an important message. Thank you for making it free!

Change Has to Come

I will be proudly displaying Not a Date to Celebrate poster.
By 2025 I was hopeful Australia would have listened to the truth telling, made a treaty and was mature enough to walk side by side with the indigenous peoples of this land.
How naive to think the colonists of Australia and their descendants could step down off their pedestals of superiority and recognise and accept their part in the destruction and massacre of the indigenous culture and peoples of this country.
I am truly sorry for the part my ancestors played in the murdering of your people and their participation in the stolen generations and destruction of your beautiful country.
Not a Date to Celebrate.
